Cake supports adding hyperlinks and embedding Google Maps in your resume, allowing you to present personal information and project locations more flexibly. The following sections explain how to make these adjustments:

Insert Link
In the resume edit page, you can use the following steps to insert links:
Select the text where you want to insert the link.
Click “Insert Link” in the top toolbar.
Enter any URL that begins with “https://”.
Once the link is inserted, the text will appear with an underline.
Note: Text contained a link will always be displayed with an underline. This is a system default and cannot be changed.
Edit Link
Edit the URL or Text
Select the text that contains the link you want to edit.
Click the “green Insert Link” icon or the “Insert Link” button in the top toolbar.
Update the URL or the display text, then click "Apply".
Remove Link
Select the linked text you want to remove.
Click the “green Insert Link” icon or the “Insert Link” button in the top toolbar.
Click the “Link with slash” icon to delete the link.
Open Link
Select the linked text you want to open.
Click the “box with an arrow” icon to open the link.
Insert Map Snippet
If you need to embed a location in your resume, you can set it up with the following steps:
In the resume editor, click the location where you want to add a map snippet.
Click the blue “+” button to open the snippet list on the right, then select “Map.”
Drag the map snippet to the desired position in your resume.
When a "green highlight box" appears, release your cursor to successfully insert the map snippet.
Note: Cake offers many free snippets. However Map snippet and Snippet tagged with "Pro" require a Premium upgrade for advanced designs and layouts.
Edit Map
Get the Google Maps URL
Open Google Maps and search for the location you want to display.
Copy the "search result URL".
Edit the Map Link
Click the map block where you want to add or update the link.
Click the "double-arrow" icon on the map block.
Select and delete the existing URL.
Paste the "search result URL" you copied.
Click "Apply", and the map will be updated on your resume.
Note: Currently, only Google Maps URLs are supported. Links from Apple Maps (iOS) cannot be previewed in the resume editor.
Adjust Map Size
Select the map block you want to adjust.
Click the "ruler" icon on the map block.
Replace the existing values and enter your preferred height and width.
Click "Apply", and the updated size will appear in the edit page.
Delete Map
Select the map block you want to remove.
Click the "trash-can" icon to delete the map.
