How can I prevent my portfolio from appearing in search engines?
To prevent your portfolio from indexed by search engines:
Go to Dashboard > Portfolio, or click your profile picture and select "My Portfolio".
Click the "Settings" icon on the published portfolio.
Click "Edit".
Go to "Project Settings" and turn off "Let search engines like Google find my portfolio".
Click "Publish" to save your changes.
How can I remove search results that appear in search engines?
If your resume, portfolio already appears in search engine results such as Google or Bing, disabling "Allow search engines to find my resume/portfolio" or deleting the content will not remove it from search results immediately. Search engines require time to re-crawl and update their indexes.
If you would like to expedite the removal process, please submit this form to contact the Cake Customer Support team. We will assist you in submitting a removal request to the search engine and keep you updated on the progress by email.
In general, Google may take approximately 3 days to process a removal request, while Bing typically takes 12 hours to 1 week. Actual processing times depend on each search engine's internal procedures, so Cake cannot guarantee or control when the content will be removed.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to the Cake Customer Team.
