How to Change Personal Profile Privacy Settings?

Cake provides two personal profile privacy settings for users to choose from. The following explains how to edit these settings:

Edit Personal Profile Privacy Settings

  1. Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner and select “Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  2. In the left-side menu, click “Profile" to access profile privacy settings.

  3. In the Privacy section, select your preferred profile privacy option.

  4. Click “Update" to save the changes.

Profile Privacy Options

Anyone on the internet can find and access No sign-in required

Your personal profile can be found and viewed by anyone on the internet without logging in to Cake, including via search engines. This option is suitable if you use Cake as a personal branding website.

  • Who can view: Anyone, including users who find your profile through search engine results.

Only logged-in Cake users can view

Your personal profile can only be viewed by users who have registered and logged in to Cake. Search engines will not be able to crawl or index it.

  • Who can view: Logged-in Cake users only.

If information has already been indexed by search engines, cached versions may still remain for a short period of time even after adjusting privacy settings or deleting the content.
